TOEFL Score Reporting: Everything You Need to Know
Once the exam is over, the next step is getting your scores to your target universities. Here is a guide to the reporting process.
When Will I Get My Scores?
- Unofficial Scores: You will see your unofficial Reading and Listening scores immediately after the test.
- Official Scores: Your full score report (including Speaking and Writing) will be available in your ETS account about 4-8 days after the test.
Sending Scores to Universities
- Free Score Reports: You can select up to four universities to receive your scores for free before you take the test.
- Additional Reports: After the test, you can send scores to more institutions for a fee (typically around $25 per report).
- Delivery Time: It can take 1-2 weeks for universities to receive your official scores after you request them.
How Long Are Scores Valid?
TOEFL scores are valid for two years from the date of the exam. After two years, they are removed from your account and can no longer be reported.
Summary
Plan your test date at least 2-3 months before your university application deadlines to ensure your scores arrive on time!
