Mykhailo joined LearnEnglish.Life as a Senior Reviewer to own the apps and self-study desk. He is a long-time English learner (B1 to C1 himself, with Ukrainian and Russian as first languages) and a careful, methodical tester of language-learning software.

For every app review on the site, Mykhailo buys at least the cheapest paid tier, commits to a minimum of one full week of daily use, and tracks what he can actually produce at the end of the week versus what the marketing materials promise. He is also the person who documents the upsell paths: which apps push you toward yearly subscriptions before you have finished the trial, which ones quietly raise prices on renewal, and which ones really are worth keeping.

Mykhailo handles Duolingo, Babbel, Rosetta Stone, Busuu, ELSA Speak, Pimsleur, Memrise, Mondly, FluentU and the comparisons between them. He also writes most of our budget-focused and free-resources coverage.
