Learning method quiz
Find your way to learn English
Six quick questions at most. You get the learning format that fits, two or three options with reasons and limits, and a realistic weekly plan. No sign-up.
How the recommendations work
The quiz first removes platforms that do not serve the learner, for example programmes that do not teach your child's age. It then scores every remaining platform with the same rules:
- Goal: does the platform cover what you need English for?
- Format: a human teacher, an AI tutor or an app, as you prefer. If you choose "a mix", or "not sure" for anyone but a child, you see one teacher-led option and one practice tool.
- Budget: the platform's typical monthly spend, from published prices, against the budget you pick. Options above your budget are marked.
- Level and time: beginners get more weight on teacher support; very busy learners on short practice tools.
- Children: live programmes built for children and play-based apps come first; AI chat tutors are strongly marked down for children.
When two options score the same, the cheaper one is shown first.
There is no extra weight for See Guru, SpeakyKid or Tospeak, which share our owner; they are labelled in the results. Prices and rules come from each provider's own pages or app store listings, checked on the date shown. Read more in our editorial standards.
